A dedicated development officer and para volleyball coach from Vanuatu, Stanley Toa, will travel to Hangzhou, China, next week to represent the Pacific at the 2025 ParaVolley Asia Oceania Zonal Championship.
Remarkably, Toa will stand as the only Pacific Islander participating in the high-profile Asian tournament.
The championship, running from June 9 to 19, is a major event that brings together para-athletes and officials from across Asia and Oceania to promote inclusion and competitive excellence in para sports.
Toa, 37, will serve as a jury member during the week-long eventâhis first official international assignment in that capacity.
This marks Toaâs second journey to China under the para volleyball banner, following a two-week practical training he undertook there last year.
