When Sherysyn Toko heads to the Pacific Games in Honiara next month, she will be feeling a greater weight of expectation than most athletes competing.
The Ni-Vanuautu beach volleyballer is returning to the games for her second time and will settle for no less than the gold she achieved on her first outing back in Samoa 2019 when paired with Miller Pata.
The duo went on to bank Vanuatu’s only medal at the Commonwealth Games 2022 in Birmingham, a bronze, which saw them lauded on home shores.
